Sensex, Nifty slip further

At 10:37 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 27,241 down 120 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8,225 down 35 points.The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.11% at 11,081, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 0.12% at 11,423.Some buying activity is seen in auto and pharma sectors, while capital goods, consumer durables, banking, fmcg and oil & gas sectors are showing weakness on BSE.Sun Pharma, Maruti Suzuki,Bajaj-Auto,M&M, Wipro, TCS and NTPC are among the gainers, whereas ONGC, HDFC, Lupin, Hindalco, Axis Bank, ITC, Hero MotoCorp, Cipla and HUL are losing sheen on BSE.

Indian Rupee today opened at 64.97/$ in early trade on Tuesday. On the global, Global markets are not offering any encouraging cues. In fact most of them are in the red. US stocks fell after new home sales came in less than expected. In international markets, market participants will prefer to remain on the sidelines ahead of US FOMC policy meeting statement tomorrow. Markets will also keep an eye on US advance Q3 GDP readings.

The India VIX (Volatility) index is down 0.65% to 17.11.Den Networks has rallied 6.5% at Rs. 123.40 on BSE today. The Reserve Bank of India has allowed foreign investors to raise their stake up to 74% in DEN Networks.Shares of Hitachi Home and Life Solutions(India) is trading down 7.5% at Rs. 1,369 on BSE.The company reported its Q2 net loss at Rs. 11 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 against profit of Rs. 9 crore in the same quarter year ago. The total operational income has decreased by 1.2% at Rs. 251 crore.

Man Infraconstruction has tumbled 4% at Rs. 35.40 on BSE. The company reported its Q2 result net loss at Rs. 0.72 crore in the quarter ended September 2015 as against net profit of Rs. 22.82 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2014.The company’s sales has declined 1.56% to Rs. 60.04 crore in the quarter ended September 2015 as against Rs. 60.99 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2014.
Shares of Lupin Ltd are currently trading 2.19% lower at Rs. 2,008.45 on BSE. The company will today announce its financial result for the quarter ended September 30, 2015.
